Comprehensive Port Improvement Plan for the Port of New York & New Jersey. Assessment of current and potential cargo handling capacity by commodity and development of alternative options for improvements in infrastructure, operating methods and capacity.

1999-2003: Port of Mombasa

General management and leadership for the establishment and bringing on stream a Grain and Fertiliser Import terminal, capacity 85000t with throughput potential of in excess 1mT p.a. Funded World Bank, UK Govt. and French Govt. with a 24 hour discharge capability in excess 14000T it was the only one of it's kind in the Southern Sub-Sahara region.

2002-2003: Port of Novorossiysk

Management of Russia’s largest timber export port terminal and a new container terminal development. A US$90 million development scheme to rehabilitate and upgrade the former Soviet-style port facility and to introduce and expand a modern container operation ultimately to several berths with Panamax capability with 500,000 TEU of throughput.

2002-2004: Port of Sohar

Project management of the assessment of the new port and industrial zone at Sohar in Oman. This has required organisation design, tariffication, financing and negotiating a concessionaire with a private operator. This study included development of an industrial zone where the focus is on gas based industries including methanol, urea, aluminium and refining as well as attracting secondary industries.
